Ralph along with Murph and Lindsay will forever be a part of my youth and memory of days past. When I think of those first years with the Mets I always think of getting my memories from watching these three on television and listening to them on the radio. They brought baseball to life for me and even when my dad and I would go to the games I missed hearing them and any inside information they might have passed along. I think the one thing that rejuvenated Ralph was being teamed with Tim McCarver in the 80’s and the fun they would bring back to Mets telecasts. Ralph loved baseball and the stories he told were always fresh and worth listening to. He respected the game and in turn we the fans will always respect and admire the way he always played and broadcasted. Thank you Ralph for sharing your love of baseball with us and for being the gentleman you were through life!
